This work introduces a redshift-aware pulsar-timing-array framework and applies it to PPTA DR3 to place direct constraints on supermassive binary black holes at cosmic dawn. Targeted searches toward J0100+2802 and JADES-GS-z14-0 exclude extremely massive binaries across the nanohertz band and demonstrate how PTAs can probe early-Universe black-hole assembly.

Bayesian targeted searches of six electromagnetically motivated directions in the third Parkes Pulsar Timing Array data release find no continuous-wave signals from eccentric supermassive black hole binaries. The analysis constrains the total mass of OJ 287 and the mass ratios of candidate binaries in nearby galaxy clusters.

This work proposes targeted pulsar-timing-array searches for supermassive black hole binaries as standard sirens, avoiding the host-identification challenge of broad all-sky localisations. Simulations informed by current observations indicate that the Chinese Pulsar Timing Array could measure the Hubble constant to a precision of about 2 km s⁻¹ Mpc⁻¹.

This targeted search uses Parkes Pulsar Timing Array data to test for continuous gravitational waves from the proposed subparsec black hole binary in 3C 66B. The source is neither confirmed nor ruled out, but the analysis constrains its mass and strain and develops a framework for combining electromagnetic and gravitational-wave information.

Using the third Parkes Pulsar Timing Array data release, this study searches for directional structure in the nanohertz gravitational-wave background with radiometer and spherical-harmonic methods. No statistically significant anisotropy is found; the most prominent hotspot, at 5.26 nHz, is consistent with a noise fluctuation.

This work introduces frequency-dependent, full-Stokes pulse templates for precision pulsar timing and applies them to millisecond pulsars observed by the Parkes Pulsar Timing Array. The method reduces timing uncertainties by as much as 20–30% while providing phase- and frequency-resolved polarimetric measurements.

An all-sky search of the third Parkes Pulsar Timing Array data release finds no evidence for continuous gravitational waves from individual supermassive black hole binaries. The resulting strain limits improve sensitivity by at least a factor of four across 1–200 nHz compared with the previous Parkes search.

We analysed 133 bursts from the first repeating fast radio burst, FRB 121102, using three hours of Arecibo observations. The study characterises burst spectra, scattering, wait times, periodicity, and the cumulative energy distribution, and introduces the open-source BurstFit package for robust spectro-temporal modelling.
